Jeff Papows

Jeff Papows

Chief Executive Officer

With more than 28 years of industry experience, Papows has a proven history of success in both emerging companies and global organizations.  Most notably, Papows was president and CEO of Lotus Development Corporation, where he is widely credited for taking Lotus Notes from its initial release to sales of more than 70 million copies worldwide, making it the leading collaboration platform.  Upon the company’s acquisition, Papows helped steer the Lotus’ successful integration into IBM.  Papows was also president of Cognos Corporation, taking the business intelligence software provider from its early stages to sustained profitability, a successful public offering, and years of continued growth that met or exceeded market expectations.  Most recently, Papows was the president and CEO of Maptuit, a provider of real-time commercial navigation software.  Having led Maptuit to profitability and a market leadership position, Papows continues as Chairman of the Board.

Papows has been a frequent guest of CNN and Fox News.  A successful author, Papows wrote “Enterprise.com:  Information Leadership in the Digital Age,” which has sold more than 80,000 copies and has been reprinted multiple times in several languages, and “Glitch The Hidden Impact of Faulty Software.”

Papows has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Norwich University, a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from Pepperdine University, and a doctorate in Business Administration from California Coast University.

Ron Karas

Ron Karas

Vice President, Research & Development and Client Services

Karas leads the technical field services teams for all pre- and post-sales engagements.  Prior to WebLayers, he held a similar position at Attunity, a leading data and integration middleware company.  While at Attunity, Karas managed a team of pre-sales engineers who contributed to a near doubling of direct sales.  Karas has also served as an integration consultant to one of Europe’s largest banks, Société Générale, overseeing the successful integration of the many diverse systems that provide the bank with mission critical information.  His hands-on experience as a project manager, consultant, and integration specialist has influenced his pragmatic approach to delivering solutions.

Jan Wolff

Vice President, Sales

Jan Wolff has 20 years of experience in the high tech industry, the last seventeen spent working with large commercial and federal organizations to help address critical IT requirements. In his six years with WebLayers, Jan has worked closely with industry, federal civilian and DoD clients to identify, address and correct key governance challenges.

Michael Castricone

Chief Financial Officer

Castricone brings more than 20 years of financial and administrative experience in the technology industry to WebLayers.  Previously, as a result of a successful acquisition, Castricone joined IBM from Guardium, where he served as vice president of finance and administration, managing financial operations, IT, and human resources.

Prior to that, Castricone served as a controller in Nokia Networks via the acquisition of Telekol Corporation, where he also served as controller.

Castricone holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Mathematics from the University of New Hampshire and a Master’s Degree in Accountancy from Bentley College, and is licensed as a certified public accountant in Massachusetts.
