Jeff Papows
President & Chief Executive Officer
With more than 25 years of industry experience, Papows has a proven history of success in both emerging companies and global organizations. Most notably, Papows was president and CEO of Lotus Development Corporation where he is widely credited for taking Lotus Notes from its initial release to sales of more than 70 million copies worldwide, making it the leading collaboration platform. Upon the acquisition of Lotus, Papows helped steer the company’s successful integration into IBM. Papows was also president of Cognos Corporation, taking the business intelligence software provider from its early stages to sustained profitability, a successful public offering and years of continued growth that met or exceeded market expectations. Most recently, Papows was the president and CEO of Maptuit, a provider of real-time commercial navigation software. Having led Maptuit to profitability and a market leadership position, Papows will continue as Chairman of the Board.
Papows has been a frequent guest of CNN and Fox News. As a successful author, Papows’ book, “Enterprise.com: Information Leadership in the Digital Age” has sold more than 80,000 copies and has been reprinted multiple times in several languages.
Papows has a B.S. in Biology from Norwich University, an M.A in Human Resource Management from Pepperdine University and Ph.D. in Business Administration from California Coast University.

Guy Loewy
Chief Technology Officer & Founder
As co-founder and CTO of WebLayers, Loewy brings to the company years of successful technology leadership, expertise, and the ability to develop innovative market driven solutions. In his position, Loewy focuses on creating technology that better enables companies to govern IT infrastructures. Prior to WebLayers, Loewy was co-founder, vice president of research and development and chief architect at Bridges for Islands, where he established and managed the R&D team. After Bridges was acquired by Attunity, Inc., Loewy became Attunity's vice president of product management and technology, where he led the rollout of Attunity’s eBusiness Integration Product Suite. Loewy started his career in the Israeli Air Force where he held a variety of senior technical positions.

John Favazza
Vice President of Research & Development
Favazza leads the engineering and product development efforts for WebLayers. Prior to WebLayers, Favazza led the development efforts for CA’s SOA and Web services security, management and threat prevention products. He envisioned and built Netegrity’s TransactionMinder product and is a co-inventor of the SAML Session Authentication model (patent pending). He also held senior engineering positions with Sybase and Powersoft Corp.

Carlos Bernal
Director of Marketing Communications
Carlos Bernal has worked in the IT industry for more than 12 years with extensive experience in IT marketing and communication at companies including Maptuit Corporation, IBM, Lotus Development Corporation, and HealthSoftBI. Bernal was previously Director of Marketing and Communications for Maptuit Corporation where he ran and executed all marketing initiatives. Prior to Maptuit, Bernal was a consultant with HealthSoftBI where he successfully developed and executed marketing communication strategies for clients such as Mitretek Systems. Bernal holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising and Public Relations and a Masters of Arts degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Emerson College.

Emily Fletcher
Director of Finance
With more than 10 years experience in finance and accounting, Emily Fletcher is responsible for the company’s finance and day-to-day accounting operations. Emily has expertise in finance operations restructuring, cash management, risk, and accounting. Prior to joining WebLayers, she was Controller at Going, Inc. where she oversaw accounting, finance and administration. Before joining Going, Inc., Emily held positions as a financial analyst, accounting manager and finance manager at organizations including Barclays, GetConnected, Inc. and ThingMagic, Inc. Emily earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Boston University’s School of Management.

Ron Karas
Director of Technical Services
Ron Karas leads the technical field services teams for all pre and post sales engagements. Prior to WebLayers, Ron held a similar position at Attunity a leading data and integration middleware company. While at Attunity, Ron managed a team of pre-sales engineers who contributed to a near doubling of direct sales. Ron has also served as an integration consultant to one of Europe’s largest banks, Société Générale, overseeing the successful integration of the many diverse systems that provide the bank with mission critical information. His hands on experience as a project manager, consultant and integration specialist has influenced his pragmatic approach to delivering solutions.
