Responsibilities:
As a Technical Consultant you will conduct WebLayers Center technical implementations in the context of pre and post sales engagements, deliver WebLayers Center training; provide input to Product Management based on field experiences. You will translate business requirements into technical requirements and present technology solutions in a business context to prospects and existing WebLayers customers. You will act as a corporate technical liaison to insure prospect and customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle. Proactively drive and manage the technology evaluations including responding to RFI/RFPs, pre-sales technical/architecture and implementation inquiries, create and deliver demonstrations, presentations and/or prototypes. Maintain and communicate account technical status to the WebLayers Software sales and leadership teams. You will also be required to perform other related projects as assigned. Extensive Travel is required.

Service Oriented Architecture, J2EE architecture, XML, XPath, XQuery, Windows servers, Linux Red Hat, JBoss, BEA WebLogic Server, IBM WebSphere, Oracle Databases, IBM DB2 Databases, MS SQL Server Databases, JavaScript, Database/SQL programming, Data Communications essentials Excellent communication and presentation skills Java J2EE programming, IT Operations tech support, Help Desk experience all a plus
Qualifications:
2-5+ five years previous technical pre-sales experience and a minimum of two years experience interacting with J2EE products, specifically Java application servers (e.g. BEA WebLogic, IBM Websphere). Excellent verbal, written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with developed business savvy required. Bring a strong background in customer support and/or field sales support with an emphasis on working closely with sales channels. We would prefer a minimum two years Service Oriented Architecture, Web Services or XML integration experience. Bachelors Degree required. Computer Science major is highly desirable
