Gregg Bjork

Chief Executive Officer

Gregg is leading WebLayers business direction. Prior to WebLayers, Gregg was SVP Services and Business Development and SVP Products and Services at Systinet Corp., where he worked on expanding the company’s distribution channels via partnerships with reseller channels, distributorships and alliances. Before Systinet, Gregg was Chief Operating Officer at Attunity, Inc., focusing on providing eBusiness Integration technology to Global 5000 customers. Previous to Attunity, Gregg was SVP, Engineering and Professional Services at YOUpowered Inc., Vice President, Services and Operations at NetCentric Corporation, and CIO and Vice President, World Wide Customer Services at Powersoft Corporation. In all three roles he was responsible for various aspects of customer service, engineering and professional services groups.

 

Guy Loewy

Founder and CTO

As co-founder and CTO of WebLayers, Guy brings to the company years of successful technology leadership, expertise, and the ability to develop innovative market driven solutions. In his position, Guy focuses on creating technology that better enables companies to govern their Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) implementations. Guy works closely with customers to understand their needs and then translates this information to the engineering team at WebLayers. Prior to WebLayers, Guy was co-founder, VP R&D and Chief Architect at Bridges for Islands, where he established, and managed the R&D team. After Bridges was acquired by Attunity, Inc., Guy became the company’s VP of Product Management and Technology, where he led the rollout of Attunity’s eBusiness Integration Product Suite. Guy started his career in the Israeli Air Force, where he held a variety of senior technical positions.

 

Terry Layo

Vice President, Sales

Terry is responsible for expanding WebLayers Commercial, Government, and International Sales operations. Terry has more than 20 years of strategic sales experience in Enterprise Integration (EAI, EII, ETL), Business to Business Integration, and Service Oriented Architecture solutions. In addition, Terry has an extensive background in building and leading high-performance sales, business development, and field operations teams. Terry joins WebLayers after 5 years as the Vice President of North American Operations for publicly traded Attunity, LTD (Nasdaq: ATTU), a leading provider of strategic Enterprise Integration Platforms for real time and on demand data integration. At Attunity, Terry is credited with successfully guiding the largest operation in the company through a significant transition to a leadership position in on demand data access.

 

John Favazza

Vice President, Engineering

John leads the engineering and product development efforts for WebLayers. Prior to WebLayers, John led the development efforts for Computer Associates’ SOA and Web services security, management and threat prevention products. He envisioned and built Netegrity’s TransactionMinder product and is a co-inventor of the SAML Session Authentication model (patent pending). He also held senior engineering positions with Sybase and Powersoft Corp.

 

Dan Potter

Vice President, Marketing

As Vice President, Marketing for WebLayers, Dan is responsible for marketing strategy and corporate communications. Prior to joining WebLayers, Dan was Vice President of Marketing for Empirix, where he successfully drove customer and industry recognition for both the Web and VoIP testing and performance management solutions. Dan was Vice President, Worldwide Marketing and Business Development at Attunity where he successfully repositioned the company as a leader in the real-time business intelligence market. Dan was also Vice President of Marketing at Progress Software Corporation's Sonic Software division, where he generated widespread market awareness for a new ESB product category. He also spent eight years at Oracle Corporation in a variety of senior marketing and product management roles, identifying market opportunities, overseeing the creation of product concepts, and then bringing those products to market.

 

Paul A. Blaney, Jr.

Vice President, Professional Services

Paul is responsible for the Professional Services and Solution Delivery at WebLayers. Prior to WebLayers, Paul was VP Solutions Management at Business Engine, Inc., where he developed the Rapid Portfolio Optimization (RPO) Solution and managed the implementations for some of largest Financial Services clients. Paul was also VP at Enterprise Technology Group where he specialized in formulating Data Center Automation Strategies and managing large-scale Network and Systems Management projects. As Vice President in the Global Assets Technology Services Center at Bankers Trust Company in New York, Paul developed expertise across a broad spectrum including Data Center Operations, Network and Systems Management technology, Systems Programming, Data Communications and Online applications development, service and support.

 

Ira Cohen
Vice President, Business and Corporate Development

Ira is responsible for building and overseeing WebLayers’ worldwide business development strategy, including development of strategic relationships with ISVs, OEMs, distributors, resellers and other partners. Cohen brings extensive partner strategy and program execution experience to WebLayers. He was most recently at Segue Software, where he established the company’s presence in EMEA and APAC and built global alliances with Borland, Macromedia and HP as well as revenue-producing OEM partnerships and reseller agreements with BMC, Computer Associates and others. Earlier, Cohen worked at Rohner Associates, Silicon Valley’s most prestigious business development consulting firm, where he advised companies such as Sun Microsystems, SonicWALL and Nuance Communications on how to re-architect their business development to strategically grow revenue through partners. Cohen has also held a variety of executive management positions at Ness Technologies, Blueflame, Aztec Technology Partners, CIC and Copley Systems.
