Anne Thomas Manes from the Burton Group to Present on SOA Governance at Worldwide SOA Forum
New Survey Results on SOA Governance will also be Released
Cambridge, MA, March 13, 2007 – The SOA Forum, an exclusive roundtable of senior IT executives and enterprise architects from Fortune 500 companies and Government agencies, today announced that Anne Thomas Manes from the Burton Group will present at the upcoming SOA Forum event. The event will also highlight the findings of the recently completed SOA Forum survey on SOA governance.
The SOA Forum is a roundtable of executives who are mandated with the challenging mission of driving a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) within their organizations. The SOA Forum is celebrating over four years of successful and interactive collaboration between its members. Today the forum includes over 1,250 members representing more than 450 organizations and is the largest independent organization for SOA executives.
The upcoming SOA Forum roundtable will feature Anne Thomas Manes, Vice President and Research Director for the Burton Group, who will kickoff the roundtable discussion with a presentation entitled “A Reference Architecture for SOA Governance Infrastructure” on Thursday, March 22 at 2:00 PM EST.
The discussion will cover Anne’s recently published research on how a SOA governance program should provide guidance for the entire service lifecycle, including creation, testing, provisioning, utilization, management, and versioning.
“Anne has been at the forefront of the SOA market and has a deep understanding of the infrastructure necessary to achieve success,” said Gregg Bjork, CEO of WebLayers. “This topic is of particular interest as the lack of governance was identified as the single largest barrier to SOA adoption according to a recent InfoWorld reader survey. We will also be sharing the results of a soon to be published SOA Forum survey on governance that I’m sure will raise a few eyebrows.”
SOA Forum members and non-members can register for this event at www.weblayers.com/theSOAforum/
