WebLayers Center Named 2008 CODiE Award Finalist for "Best Web Services Solution"

WebLayers recognized for unique approach to automating SOA Governance from design to deployment

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – February 15, 2008 – WebLayers™ Inc., which automates SOA Governance, announced today that its WebLayers Center solution has been named a finalist for the 2008 CODiE Awards in the category “Best Web Services Solution.”

WebLayers Center helps organizations realize the promise of web services and Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA) by providing a policy-based approach that automates what has traditionally been a manual, labor-intensive process of defining and enforcing governance.

WebLayers Center offers the industry’s largest collection of pre-built governance policies – over 2,000 – that span the lifecycle of design, development and deployment. By automating SOA Governance, WebLayers enables organizations to jump-start a governance initiative, and scale it across the software development lifecycle in order to:

A recent survey by The SOA Forum found that 85 percent of companies still depend on manual reviews to try to achieve governance.
